ONE MAN

                                                         One Man

One son was born to a family , who needed him.
First he was raised by two , then one, then none.
Now he was one man.
One man who traveled all over God's land.
He saw the creature's that lived there, he smelled the flower's that bloomed.
Felt the breeze that blew upon him in God's land.
That one man became a lonely man, so he took a wife.
Wife said,"I will stand behind you in whatever you do."
The man said," You will not stand behind me, but beside me."
That one man became a father, a father of three boys and a daughter.
All of whom he loved with his wife. The father taught his children love,
pride and honor, faith, and to acceptance to walk the path that was set
Before them in God's land.
The father became a grandfather of many.
He loved his grandchildren as much as his children.
The grandfather became a traveler with his wife,
They went to many places together.
The man became a tried old man, and he said to his wife,
" I need to rest , take me home."
The wife said, " I shall take you home and there I will stay beside you always."
God said one day to the old man, " I have watched you grow, I have seen you walk in my land
And leave it as you have found it, I smiled the day  you took a good wife,
And I have blessed you with healthy children, and many grandchildren, but now I see that you are tried, and I shall take you home, so that it may become your home, and you may rest till you see your family again."
That one man went with God, and became a man in Heaven.

I wrote this poem in honor of my father  Jan, 4, 1992. I have missed him for 20 years. I think of him always. He was my best friend. my father Jerome (Smokey Cloud, Jerry) Had a first marriage  and had three children then. 2 of which are now in the Blue sky with him. David , Bonnie. His youngest son Jerry is well , and we are back in touch. My mom had 3 girls and 2 boys from his first marriage , whom he also loved .I mean not to take anything anyway from them as my family in this poem. They are and always be my brother and sisters. No matter who the mother or father was. I Love you all.
I love you daddy, and I miss you everyday.

So till my next talking, peace and happiness .

Chatting Over Coffee Friday

                                                            The last Wish

I was out walking in the woods ,
I came upon a Wish Maker.
Oh a Wish Maker,
Put there just for me.
Don't just grab it up ,
And make a foolish wish.
Just think about this for a minute,
This is the last wish of the year.
Maybe money, no health ,
A new car, no a big T.V..
Wait a month long vacation ,
Hawaii ,no Paris,no Italy
Spain sounds nice, Jamaica even nicer.
Oh those shoes I saw,
Along with the dress and purse.
I should could use a new house.
Wait a in house gym,
No a pool with a spa.
An on call masseur.
A really good man,
He has to be cute,
Have a really good job.
HA, HA, HA,........
Okay maybe, maybe, maybe, Maybe,
I wish there was a bathroom right here.......
AHCHOO,
(Blows all the fluff off).
AH SHOOT.

So I hope you enjoyed the poem  on chatting over coffee Friday.

Boo'tober

     IT'S BOO'TOBER TIME!!!!!

Not only is this the month for costume making it is also the time for CANDY, and scary stories.
I love a good scary story, don't like all the blood and guts stuff through. Oh by the way the above picture is my sweet little granddaughter and myself as mama mouse and baby mouse, many years ago.
This month I am going to try and tell you as many things that give me a fright as I can. Starting with what scares me the most. Here is number 1.

The thing that scares me the most is ATTICS. I will not go in one, I have one here and I have boxes and more boxes stacked in front of the door. You ask what is so scary about attics, well let me tell you.
When you are watching a movie where does the lone girl always go to be hacked to death or gobbled up , " THE ATTIC" and there you are yelling  from your easy chair, " don't go in there." But does she listen? Hell no and " hack", " gobble", later and she is gone. When the lone girl is in bed, and her parents are out for the night, where does she hear a noise come from? alas but above her bed, the "ATTIC". So she goes up there finds some doll and brings it back to her room , and Hack and Gobble , and she is gone.
I wasn't always afraid of the attic, we always had a house with one, when growing up , great hide and seek spot. When I was fifteen my parents let me and my friend Tee  go to the movies in the big town of Auburn CA. while they where at a dance at the Fair Grounds, We told them the movie would be over by midnight, and that they would pick us up in front of the theater. The movie we saw was the famous movie of the 1975 The Exorcist , What a scary movie that was , and it all started over a Ouija board in the ATTIC.
The movie got out at around 11:15 or so and we were not about to stand there in front of that theater that long but our self's. Tee is older then I and she made the decision to walk to the fair grounds, which were not far from the theater , we could be there in before my parents dance was over. So here we were walking along and Tee started talking about the movie and I must say it was one of the fastest 4 block run I ever did, well except when the bull chased Kathleen and me into the barn.
So the result of a mere child going to see that movie scared for life. Okay I was 15, but compared to my 50 years of today a baby I was.
So my friends , I ask you this question , " What scares you?"

Till my next talk, Peace and Happiness.

Chatting Over Coffee Friday

Well here it is Friday and I have decided to take some time to Talk to my clouds.
A lot has been going on this past summer, some good ,some not so good. Guess I can share it all.

On the fourth of July had BBQ planned , had nice spot to watch neighbors fireworks, ( front  porch swing ) with family. Ma,Marty ,Me ,dogs. Ma woke up not felling well that morning . By 1:00 pm we called a friend of ours to come check her out. (EMT from Victor Fire) she came and said lets go to the hospital. Off into the ambulance she went. Ma said the she was treated like a queen on the ride in, and at the hospital, great staff.
We all thought it was her heart , it was not, just really bad stress. She came home on her birthday the 6th . Had something planned but I put that aside when she went in and never got the time to carry through with that. So she had a cupcake with 1 candle in it. My brother and sister -in-laws were here. So we sang happy birthday to her, she was happy to be here for her 84th birthday . She is doing good now. We did Marty and I and Bruno watched the fireworks, no BBQ saving the ribs for Ma.

On July 21 my Marty went to the hospital , he was in so much pain , I drove him and it felt like I was only going 25mph when I was doing faster then that by a lot. Anyway got him there and after a EKG, Ultrasound, Lab work and a MRI ,the Dr. said it was he gallbladder and that it needed to come out before they would let him come home. I told them that when we first got to the ER. anyway 3 days later gallbladder out , he came home next day and he was fine and is fine.

During Marty's hospital stay our nephew Jason came up with his daughter my sweet Skyler. So they spent time in the hospital with me visiting Marty. I must say Skyler was as good as gold while she was in there. Just love her. Jason went and picked Marty up on that Monday and Marty went back to lite duty work on Wednesday. Jason and I bummed around and just had fun. He was a great help to me and comfort. Thank You Jason , I love you. Skye  and I and Ma watched cooking show at night and played. I can't watch a cooking show without thinking about her. I miss you Skye, I love you.

I went and had a blood test done and found out my Thyroid is not working and needed more med's and needed them now. which explains alot. Anyway I am doing better now. This new stuff is from a Pigs thyroid. So if I look different next time you see me you will now know why.

Had our friend Randy up for two weeks. He went home last Friday.  He did some hunting and just stuff while he was here. It was so good to see him, time went by fast.

I did go to a Pow wow with some friends of ours. It was so good to go and listen to the Singers and watch the dancers. I sure miss Pow Wows and singing. If I make it to Calif. This year you all better set me up with a drum, and a song or two. The friends I went to the Pow Wow with have 2 daughters , that I must say are just beautiful girls, inside and out. They are not little girls, the youngest I think is around 14yrs and the other I am going to say is 20. Anyway just wanted to let you all know I had a good time with the McKee family  and Dad. Looking forward to next year.

Okay before I close let me tell you something  funny. I have a 3yr old grandson I call Sonny Boy.  My daughter Paulina called and told me this today. And I had to share it with you all.
Paulina and her Hubby with Sonny went over to the mother-in-laws house and she has chickens, so Paulina locks all gates and tells Sonny not to chase the chickens , he is boy and boys do what boys do. He caught a chicken, ( Paulina failed to tell him not to catch a chicken, just not to chase them) . She went to look for him and when she saw him he had the chicken cradled in his arms like a baby. She asked him what he was doing and he told her the chicken was sleeping. Paulina looked at the chicken and it looked back at her with its beading chicken eyes as if to say, "I hate you for bringing him here". She saw that the chicken was fine, and she got called to do something before she could deal with Sonny, when she went to help the chicken he was no longer where she left him. She went looking and found him and the chicken laying in her mother -in-laws bed. Sonny had his head on the pillow and the chicken had its head on the pillow, Sonny was pretending to be asleep making little snoring sound, she went to get the camera and when she got back he and the chicken were sitting on the side of the bed.
Had to stop and wipe the laughing tears from my eyes. This my friends is a good note to end on.

So till next talking , Peace and Happiness.

Tummy Control, HA!

OK so I am a chubby person. Like most chubby people , I look for ways to look skinner, clothes that don't cling to me , wear black , stand up straight, oh and suck it in. While the other day I was watching TV when and ad came on about "TUMMY  CONTROL " panties, looked good, so I thought why not.
  Off the the store I go, I find them , I got the flesh colored ones. That way no one would know that I was wearing them, Well maybe the Doctor would know , if in case I had to go to the hospital. { you know clean undies and all that stuff, your mom told to to wear and wash every morning, case the trip to the E.R. every came up.}
The very next day after buying said Tummy control panties, My Hubby wanted me to go to the truck show with him, I will wear my tummy controls. One leg, OK, the other leg OK, now for the pull up. I wiggled, I hopped, I laid down, I said a few words, { not for  young ears}, and finally they are on.  I walked to the MIRROR ugh.
But wait something is wrong. Every where that the  pantie was , was smooth and sucked in, but hanging over the top was .... well  a huge " DOUBLE MUFFIN TOP" whine , cry and cuss. I started stuffing it back into the pantie. Well that was better, but now everything was sliding out the legs. So okay I could go with a muffin top or tree trunk legs. Going with the trees, cause I would have to take panties down again , so no way was I going to to that. I mean these are Tummy control right?
So off I went with Hubby to the truck show, everything going good, I wore a skirt so the trees weren't outlined and I was feeling sexy, These tummy controls, so far were controlling , after about the 3 hour mark , something went wrong, I felt my first pang, I said come on tummy controls kick in now. 15 minutes later there it was again , that  gnawing feeling , I waited an another 15 minutes and there it was again, worse this time , and there was a growl to go with it, so loud that Hubby looked at me. I said, " get me something to eat , I am hungry , these panties aren't working."
After we came home the "TUMMY CONTROLS" came off. Now I ask you what good are tummy controls if they don't control your tummy from the pangs and growls of hungry ?

FAT HAT TUESDAY

  Hey can ya see me?

OK so this may be more about the Lilacs then about the hat. This past Saturday  it was finally a beautiful sunny day. So out I went with my camera to take some pictures of flowers.
I didn't have to go far . Just up the street in our local cemetery is all these Lilac bushes, They also grow all over out little town of Victor.

The camera can take a picture and you can see how beautiful these are , but what it can not do is let you know how wonderful they smell. Just this small group have filled the house with their smell . Now I must go out and find some to dig up and plant in my yard.

Oh the hat I got in Fort Bragg Cal. a couple of years ago in one of those little shops. Everyone up here seems to wear camo like most people wear jeans. But since I am not that into the green and brown look or the desert look. I seen this pink one and I knew this was it. Marty told me he will not take me hunting in this hat.
So I say " why its camo, and you tell me that deer can't see color's , only patterns, so whats the big deal,?"
Marty says, " Because I can see the color."
What can I say?  " Men  go figure."

Fawn Lilly

I took a walk into the woods.
Searching  for what ,
I am not sure.
I came across a nice little mossy spot.
I laid my weary body down.
How long I slept ,
I am not sure.
When I awoke,
I was looking at Fawn Lilly
Looking back at me.

I am not sure,
But I don't think this pretty little face was here upon lying down.
Did I sleep so long,
For this to grow ?
I am not sure.

I am lying here,
I smell the sweet smell of moss,
Of woods, of  Fir trees,
I am not sure ,
But it must be,
I smell the Fawn Lilly.

I am not sure.
I feel you looking down upon me.
It must be you,
I feel you in the moss,
The Fir trees .
Singing and dancing in among the woods.

Fawn Lilly you watched over me while I slept.
I am sure.
I woke to quickly ,
And I caught you.
Is the magic gone now ?
I am sure.

I took this picture on Sunday  May 22, 2011. Went out for a little ride . Went up a dirt road and found a little patch of these Fawn Lillie's . I thought they were pretty so I snapped a couple of pictures. This is the one I wanted to share with you. I am not sure what would come from my mind to my fingers when I sat down .
I like it. I have not wrote a poem in years. I know that at least one of my friends will know what this is about in a round about way. that it for whatever it is to you. I hope you enjoyed it. I do.

Till my next talking , Peace and Happiness .
