Can He really be right?

Can he be right, is not about my husband of 25 years, because I have lived with him long enough to know better. Can HE  be right is about my older brother Travis. Yes I said "brother" one of the hardest " you are right a girl can say". My brother is kind of a health nut and he is always reading books on health . So he called  me to get this book , read it , and then follow it. So to get him off my back, I did read it and have been following it ,I must say almost to the tee.
The book is called  THE PRIMAL BLUEPRINT  by Mark Sisson. Good read. Now I am not telling you to go out and buy the book or recommending the life style change. That is totally up to you. I can only tell you what it has and is doing for me. I am a diabetic , I take insulin with every meal and one shot before bed, and I am 3 different pills, for it. So carb's are not a good thing for me to take, the book recommends cutting all grains from your diet. Again read the book first, ask your Doctor  etc.... So 2 weeks ago I started following this, and I have been getting up in the Morin actually feeling good and it has been staying with me all day. I have not been walking around in a brain fog all day. My sister-in-law Terri (best sister-in-law ever) Travis's wife said that she makes a big old pot of soup and they all eat on the when they need just a little some thing extra in-between meals. All vegetables , no grains and throw some meat in there. What a wonder thing homemade soup is. YUMMY!!
I have lost a pound and a half, and have lower my blood sugars which to me is the most importance thing, but a few pounds gone I won't complain about. Feeling good and like I actually want to go out and do something is always a plus. The bummer part of this is telling my brother , "HE IS RIGHT", now that's hard to say out loud, well loud enough for him to hear. So my dear brother out of the goodness of my heart( that's another story for another day) I say " You are right!, " and I thank you .
So till next time, Peace and Happiness to you.

  1. Jerri, Just read todays entry. Travis earned that Thank You, because he worked so hard to try to hook you up with something that seems to be helping you. I'll check it out. I am in the midst of making major lifestyle changes myself, although some of them are making themselves for me (the van apparently dying). Hey, do you ever talk to Martha Chaney? I'd like to reach her and thank her for helping me get away from Bill.
